Hey Smoke Break Takers
Get back to work! Holy shit, a couple 10-minute smoke breaks a day I can deal with, but 10-15 minutes every hour? You are the least productive workers BY FAR. There are a handful of you at my office, and I swear to God, you are standing outside the parking lot door half the work day. And you're not just smoking; no, that would be bad enough, but you go out there with your little cluster of fellow nic fiends and have a damn gossip session. Guess what? PEOPLE ARE TIRED OF PICKING UP YOUR SLACK. If you need that many breaks throughout the day, then you should be considered part-time and paid accordingly. Get back to work, damnit!

Ack! I thought you were talking to me. ;)
Use the roll of masking tape you don't need anymore to tape the lazy bastards to their chairs...
HTH!
Maybe you could get them all to switch to chewing tobacco......

[He he! Kidding, just kidding...]
Venessa
Yeah! Get back to work, you lazy turds!!
*While I'm still Stumblin'*
Oh, wait! I work from home. More breaks for me. Yay! But not the lazy smokers! Whip 'em good.
Hey, you should start a church.
I'll be your first full-fledged member. Pass the plate buddy, I'm ready to give!
Back when I was a smoker, in most of my places of employment I'd take one 10 minute break mid-morning, and one 10 minute break mid-afternoon. And that would be it. Any more than that really is taking the piss, particularly if it's obvious that other people really do have to work harder to cover for you.
It's too bad when that happens because it's an example of management being flexible (i.e., not closely monitoring scheduled break times, trusting employees) and people taking advantage of it.
Speaking of smoking, this is DFW.
Day Fourteen Without.
And no shakes!
"Day Fourteen Without."
YAY PJ!!!!!! EXCLAMATION POINT!!!!
people like that give all smokers a bad name! I take one 5-minute break in the morning and that's it. I agree that employees that take lots of breaks (smoke breaks OR otherwise) shouldn't get paid as much as the hard-working employees. It's total bullshit.

Congratulations, PJ. It's worth sticking with, and it gets a lot easier really soon.
Venessa made a funny.
10-15 minutes every hour
My new goal is to get my internet dreckage down to that by the end of the year.
Thanks Jeff, thanks Mark!

But I write for a living, so this is, um, honing my craft. Or something.
GO PJ! I've never smoked but have watched many people quit. Harrowing stuff, that.
This is turning into a PJ thread.
Well good.
That is how it should be.
